Dear Colleagues,
In what feels like the most anticipated event of a millennium, the planning for the annual P3 conference, awards and evening celebrations are well underway!
It’s with a great sense of anticipation that I’m inviting you all to the P3 Charity Conference and #BeYourUniqueYou Celebrations at the De Vere Orchard Hotel in Nottingham on Friday 25 November 2022. The day will start at 11am prompt!
It has been such a long time since we all celebrated together – I can’t believe there will be three years’ catching up to do! It will be a day to connect with colleagues from wider teams, meet some colleagues face-to-face for the first time and enjoy finding out about what we’ve accomplished during this time as an organisation.
We will also be celebrating the achievements of your colleagues with well-deserved awards, before enjoying a delicious meal and dancing the night away to a live band in the evening. So put on your best frock/suits/jeans (whatever you fancy – so long as you’re there we don’t mind) and prepare for the best get together and a fun evening. It’s going to be a blast!
If you’re new to P3, overnight accommodation is provided for those who want it. (Although if you could share with someone from your team that would be awesome).
Travel to and from Nottingham will be at P3’s expense, although we do ask that where possible you travel together and by the most economical method.
Read on for all the details; and can I say again how much I am looking forward to seeing every one of you in person! It’s been far too long …
Thanks and regards,
Mark
Conference 2022: Be Your Unique You!
It’s that time of year…
“For what?” we hear you cry?
It’s only our first face-to-face conference and celebration since 2019!
So, as you can probably guess, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes and we definitely don’t want to spoil any surprises! So, we’re not going to give away too much straight away. But in this blog you’ll find everything you need to know for Conference 2022 right now – and don’t forget to go here to tell us if you’re coming, your accommodation and food requirements and so on.
So, without further ado, drum roll please …
#BeYourUniqueYou!

What does that mean?
It’s simple: Be your best you!
Come wearing whatever makes you feel comfortable! If that means getting dressed up to the nines in your flamingo pink posh frock or tuxedo, do it and turn up looking fabulous. If you prefer casual, go for it and feel relaxed. Traditional cultural attire such as kilts, dashikis, saris and salwar kameez are all welcome!
#BeYourUniqueYou and join the party in an outfit you just love wearing and we really do mean that. This year, what is important is being together, the opportunity to meet in-person and celebrate together as colleagues.
It’s the ultimate “come as you are” party!

Award Nominations
As usual, we’ll be looking for nominations for teams, colleagues and leaders who have inspired you and who you know deserve wider recognition for their dedication to the people we work alongside and their teams.
These awards recognise pride in every aspect of working for P3. The passion, commitment and drive of nominees should be without parallel.
Without further ado…
The Kim Whitsey Award for the Best Frontline Leader
Kim Whitsey’s colleagues were heartbroken when she passed away earlier this year. She was the Service Manager for the Huntington Floating Support and was known for her loyalty, passion, kindness and wisdom. This new award is being established in her memory to honour a manager, coordinator or leader who embodies her fun spirit and dedication to the people we work alongside.
Frontline Team of the Year
This team is an inspiration to us all. They pull together and truly make a difference, valuing each person for what they bring to the group effort.
Behind the Frontline Leader Award
Not all roles at P3 are highly visible, but this leader is crucial to the work that we do. This leader will work in a non-support role, they will be an unsung champion, who regularly goes above and beyond and ensures colleagues receive the best possible service!
Behind the Frontline Team of the Year
This is for a team who work in a non-support role whose strength, unity and gusto keeps P3 moving forwards. We simply would not be able to function without them! Their work holds up the organisation and enables our support teams to go about their daily tasks.
Rising Star
This is to recognise a new colleague who has been working at P3 for less than one year. This person will have been exceptional in their professional growth and development, already making a positive impact in the lives of the people we work alongside.
Above and Beyond
Every person at P3 brings something unique to their role, but this person is remarkable and thinks nothing of going ‘above and beyond’ what is expected of them. It’s just who they are!
Mandy Griffin ‘People First’ Award
This is an award for our most compassionate colleague who always acts as a champion for the people we work alongside and has a wicked sense of humour too, just like Mandy of course!
Tell us who you are nominating and give a brief description (250 words or less) telling us why they are so amazing and why they deserve to win.
If your nomination is shortlisted, we’ll ask you, a colleague or your team to record a 30 second video clip on your mobile phone to share the information above with our P3 judging panel. This will be played at the award ceremony if your nomination wins!
Please note nominations and registration for the evening celebration dinner will close on Monday 31 October.
See the next section for travel information to the venue.
