As well as marking the day, these activities are a great opportunity to have fun with colleagues whilst supporting the people we work alongside. It’s also a great way to promote P3 and what we can offer!

Sharing via the regional P3 social media platforms and Workplace has become a great way for us to connect with each other as well as promoting who we are to the people reaching out to our services!

Our social media campaign was focused on having conversations that can be continued all year round, exchanging stories and knowledge of our sector. Remember to keep updated with all the major P3 channels to engage with future campaigns: Instagram – Facebook – LinkedIn – X 

In Yiewsley, the team created an art project called ‘Shelter’ that spoke directly to 2024’s theme of Reclaiming Narratives. Creating a model building, the installation was decorated with stories and images of Black pioneers within the homeless sector, focusing on the positive impact of Black communities in terms of outreach and accommodation support. 

A MASSIVE shout out to Patricia in Yiewsley for pioneering this campaign, creating conversation starters and an opportunity to share stories!

We’re proud to share that our CEO, Mark Simms collected his OBE at Windsor Castle at the end of September. Not only is this a reflection of the lifelong work and care Mark’s invested in the charity sector, but a reflection of his dedication to P3’s mission and values – empowering people to reach their potential and be valued, connected members of the communities in which they live. Mark said ‘Every day it is my huge privilege to lead a truly amazing organisation. It is through the great tenacity and brilliance of my colleagues that P3 makes such a difference at a local level for people and places… my wish would be for this recognition to be shared with the wider team and trustees at P3 whose efforts have made this Honour a reality.’

Early October saw two 2024 Charity Times Awards nominations – P3’s DCEO Gemma Bukel for Supporting Leader of the Year and P3’s Chair Adam Hackett for Charity Chair of the Year. These nominations reflect the highest level of commitment from the organisation’s leadership team, echoed by Gemma who said ‘it’s easy to be a good leader when you’re surrounded by such excellent people’ and Adam who said ‘the nominations are a testament to P3’s 931 staff, its excellent Executive Leadership Team and the 9000 vulnerable people in 17 counties who we help every day.’   

More amazing news has seen the Finance Team nominated in 5 categories at the Accounts Payable Association Awards, being shortlisted for AP Team of the Year,
AP Manager of the Year, Digital Transformation Award, Wellbeing for Others Award as well as reaching the final 4 for the Employee Engagement Award!

This category celebrated the internal finance user optimisation project, which was a collective effort between Finance, Marketing and Comms, and Digital Services! Leading the project was Jade Holmes of Marketing and Comms and Dominic North of Digital Services, who said “P3 thrives on the strength of our ambition and collaboration, it was an honour to play our part in seeing this recognised. We’re incredibly grateful to work with such talented people.”

It is great to see the commitments and achievements of our colleagues recognised, and it is a testament to the best practice followed by our P3 community everyday! 🌟👏
