Join us on Friday 15 March 2024 at DERBY ARENA, in Derby’s Pride Park – food will be served, followed by an afternoon celebrating and reflecting on our amazing services, and of course, the all-important P3 Awards!

From 7pm, we’re rolling out the red carpet for the evening event at BUSTLER, just a short distance away, a converted chocolate factory where the party will be on!

It promises to be an informal, fun-packed celebration with street food, music and live entertainment which is open to you all!

Things to note:

• Bookings will open for the daytime event and the evening celebrations later in the year – so watch this space for more info!
• Please remember the daytime conference is mandatory for all permanent P3 staff; optional for bank staff.
• Nominations for the P3 Awards will open in January 2024.

Every conference has an amazing team of volunteers made up of colleagues from across our services who help us to shape, create and make the day a success for everyone involved.

So, if you want to be on the inside track 🤣😂 and muck in with all the preparations, we want to hear from you. There’s always lots to do – hotel rooming lists, presentations, videos, venue setup/takedown, stewarding, registration – the list is a long one!

We just ask that you speak with your manager first for approval and then get in touch with us at comms@p3charity.org.

As well as fun, food and crafts for all to enjoy 😊

Then it was time to bid an emotional farewell to P3 Head of Services Sean Wimhurst who retires today after 20 years of dedicated service. P3 CEO Mark Simms and Chair of Trustees Adam Hackett both commended Sean for his principles, purpose and ambition saying: “Sean has made a huge contribution to P3, the people who work here and especially the people we work alongside, who are living better lives because of his work.”

Thank you Sean, we wish you well and hope you enjoy what you have planned next!

I’m not the sort of person who likes to kiss and tell …

I’m not the sort of person who likes to kiss and tell.
But I feel that it is important, that I should ring somebody’s bell.
It may be your misfortune, that the one I choose was you.
So, one must pull their socks up, that’s the least that they should do.
So, let’s try some multitasking, a wand in either hand,
Because the little magic will make things go as planned.
My home is out there somewhere, if you press that magic key,
A nice two-bedroomed bungalow, especially built for me.
Roses on the doorstep and flowers all around,
To listen to dawn’s chorus and have a sleep that’s sound.
Is that too much to ask for, on this island in the sea?
As I forgot the little dolly bird to keep me company!
A shop around the corner, a pub across the way,
Just thinking of my happiness, should help to make your day.

We need words to build a future that through silence fades away.
We have but a single moment, for we only have today.
Tomorrow’s for the next world that all must enter in.
So, be thankful for the present, and the life that is within.
We owe ourselves the reason, the laughter, fun and joy.
For what God has put together, no human can destroy.
This fleeting flashing moment, and the presence of all time,
Was made for all to share together, it’s not just yours and mine.
So, no one can really steal it, for it’s not ours to give.
We are but a spec upon the ocean, till the Boatman calls us in.
Have we lived a full life and answered those who call?
Or have we let life pass us by and held no dreams at all.
All we ask is one day granted, if we ask for things we need,
But it’s up to us to labour and plant the finest seed.
