Starts at Home Day 2022

Welcome to #StartsatHome Day 2022!

What starts at home? Everything, really. Nobody can live to their full potential if they don’t have somewhere safe, secure and comfortable to live.

Today, the National Housing Federation’s #StartsatHome Day celebrates the impact of our care and support services and raises awareness of the importance of people having somewhere decent to call home. It is a day to listen to and reflect on the stories of people we work alongside and get a real sense of the human benefit of supported housing.

In this blog you can hear from some of the people we work alongside as well as colleagues from The Gables in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and also Wolverhampton, talking candidly about the dedication and kindness required to help people navigate tough times and how having somewhere safe and supportive to stay lets people settle and begin over.

Starts at Home Day is all about sharing these conversations and celebrating the positive change social and supported housing can make possible.

Also, as a well-established, nationwide event it provides an opportunity to invite local dignitaries and partners to see the work of P3 first hand. So, do take the time to look on Workplace at the celebrations across our services today.

All that remains to be said is enjoy the blog – and don’t forget to check out the #StartsAtHome hashtag on social media today!

We'd like to hear what you think!

Thanks for voting!
