We have just issued a formal statement with approval from Buckingham Palace which recognises Mark’s 22-year involvement with the social enterprise and charitable sector, celebrating his growing legacy and achievements.
Typically, Mark’s words celebrate the wider organisation, saying he wishes this recognition could be shared by all colleagues, as he spoke about his thanks for the award: “I am humbled to be recognised with this Honour. Every day it is my huge privilege to lead a truly amazing organisation. It is through the great tenacity and brilliance of my colleagues that P3 makes such a difference at a local level for the people and places we serve.”
P3 Charity Chair Adam Hackett, has asked us to share his congratulations for Mark with everyone at P3: “On behalf of the P3 Board of Trustees, I am absolutely delighted to congratulate you, Mark, on your OBE appointment. This honour is thoroughly deserved and a testament to your leadership.
“Mark, you have plotted our course through the most demanding of circumstances—always guided by unwavering principles, principles which hold the dignity and worth of the people we work alongside at their core.
“You drive forwards, where others hesitate, ensuring P3’s support services are delivered where they are most needed. This award is so deserved, please accept all our very many congratulations.”
Deputy P3 CEO Gemma Bukel has also asked us to share her congratulations: “This award is too long overdue! I am so proud to see Mark receive this recognition.
“Mark’s leadership embodies the values of compassion, integrity and empathy that lie at the heart of P3’s charitable purpose. His very real care for the communities we work alongside is evident in every decision he makes and every action taken. He is a shining example for all who have the privilege of working with him. I know I speak for every colleague at P3 when I say: ‘Congratulations!’”
